PURPOSE:To automatically improve the processing efficiency of a computer system, by logging and recording the frequency of usage of a file at each file and sequentially replacing the data from the higher usage frequency in order. CONSTITUTION:A computer system 10 consists of a plurality of storage devices 12-1, 12-2- making information processing in cooperation with a CPU11, a CPU11, and a channel device (CH)13 provided at the middle. The CPU11 records how many times a file is used in the execution of a job JOB. a supervisor (SV)14 of the CPU11 monitors which file is used and how many times it is used. The supervisor 14 stores the final result of statistics (accumulated value of frequencies of usage) in file management sections 15-1 and 15-2 of the storage devices 12-1 and 12-2. When a file in the storage device is replaced into other storage devices, the supervisor 14 checks a file managing section and rearranges the files based on the usage frequency. |
