<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate easy installation of the outside handle by making the gap between the outer panel and outer reinforcement near the outside handle smaller than the height of the handle fitting nut. CONSTITUTION:The gap l1 between te lower end of a handle 4 installation hole 11 provided at the door outer reinforcement 10 and the back surface of an embossed space 4 for handle 4 installation is made smaller than the height l2 of the nut 8. With such constitution, the nut 8, when accidentally dropped during installation of the outside handle 4, will never pass through the gap l1 into an inaccessible space 9 but either alight on the flange 12 or fall inside the door. Thus, installation work in narrow space is made easier without fear of losing the nut into the closed-in space 9.</p> |
