PURPOSE:To cancel any unbalance produced by change of operating conditions by such a construction that the balance coefficient of the balancer shaft can be changed at any time between two phases. CONSTITUTION:Both ends of a balancer shaft 1 are supported by ball bearings 2, where a fixed weight 4 provided with an oil pressure cylinder 3 having its axis in the radial direction is installed in the central part of this balancer shaft 1. A traveling weight 5 is fitted slidably in this oil pressure cylinder 3, and a spring 6 is installed to oppose to movement of the weight 5. Further are installed an oil pressure source to shift the traveling weight 5, an oil pressure control device, and an oil pipe 7 to put these in communication. Thereby, feed of oil pressure to the cylinder is stopped, in case any unbalance is produced at the machine on which the balancer shaft 1 is fitted, in order to shift the traveling weight 5 inward the cylinder 3 with the aid of the spring 6. Thus the eccentricity of the balancer shaft 1 is set to the maximum and the shaft now serves as intended. |
