PURPOSE:To facilitate and to ensure sealing when the replacement of brush is to be performed, and to reduce leakage of sealed gas at an electric rotary machine by a method wherein a sealing frame is provided in a slip ring chamber, and a sealing member being free of expansion and contraction is provided between the sealing frame thereof and a rotating shaft. CONSTITUTION:A sealing frame 8 is fixed to a casing 5 for isolation of the slip ring chamber from the inside of machine, and is made to face with a sealing shaft 1-1 fixed to the rotating shaft 1 interposing a gap between them. The sealing rubber tube 7 being enabled to expand and to contract freely by making a fluid to be flowed in and to be removed from the outside part is arranged in the gap thereof. When a brush 3 inside of the slip ring chamber is to be exchanged opening an inspection cover 6, the sealing rubber tube 7 is made to expand to seal the inside of machine surely. Accordngly leakage of cooling gas sealed inside of the machine can be prevented easily and surely, and time necessitated for the replacement of brush can be also shortened. |
