NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formulaI(R is 2,3,4-trimethoxyphenyl or 3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl; n is 2 or 3) and an acid addition salt thereof. EXAMPLE:1-( 2,3,4-Trimethoxybenzoyl )-4-]2-( 2,3,4-trimethoxycinnamoyloxy )ethyl]piperazine. USE:Medicines having improved vasodilator action in cerebral, peripheral and coronary blood vessels. PROCESS:A 1-(2,3,4-trimethoxybenzoyl)-4-hydroxy substituted alkylpiperazine derivative expressed by formula II (a novel substance when n is 2) is reacted with a trimethoxy-substituted cinnamoyl halogenide expressed by formula III (X is halogen, particularly Cl or Br) in an anhydrous inert organic solvent in the presence of a deacidifying agent, e.g. a tertiary amine, at the refluxing temperature of the organic solvent to be used to give the compound expessed by formulaI. |
