PURPOSE:To obtain an interpolating value without jump, by splitting a 4-dimensional unit super-cube into a plurality of super-cubes, discriminating which super- cube including a point to be interpolated, and performing linear interpolation as to the super-cube. CONSTITUTION:If a point P to be obtained for the interpolation value has coordinates of (Wi+Wf, Xi+Xf, Yi+Yf, Zi+Zf), where if Wf>=Xf>= Yf>=Zf is estab lished, then it is considered that the point P is included in a 4-dimensional super- cube ABCDE[(Wi, Xi, Yi, Zi), (Wi+1, Xi, Yi, Zi), (Wi+1, Xi+1, Yi, Zi), (Wi+1, Xi+1, Yi+1, Zi), (Wi+1, Xi+1, Yi+1, Zi+1)]. In this case, an interpolation value U(W, X, Y, Z) of the point P can be obtained by using known values (A), (B), (C), (D) and (E) stored at each apex of the ABCDE of 4-dimension and by referring a weighting coefficient corresponding to each apex to the volume ratio of a tetrahedron. |
