PURPOSE:To elevate abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, and an ornamental property of a titled wrist watch, by forming a covering which consists of Ni, an Ni alloy, Cr, a Cr alloy, etc. and has specific hardness or above, on an alloy base metal of low hardness, which can be worked easily, by a wet plating method, and also covering said covering with titanium nitride by an ion plating method. CONSTITUTION:As for a base metal, a low hardness material which can be worked easily, such as a Cu alloy brass, nickel silver, etc., an alloy of Al, Zn, etc., and others us used. To this base metal, hard plating whose hardness is >=300HV, using Ni, an Ni alloy, Cr, a Cr alloy, etc. is performed directly or indirectly by a wet plating method. Also, on said plating, gold colorcovering whose main component is titanium nitride exceeding hardness 450HV is performed by an ion plating method. |
