PURPOSE:To omit the starting device by operating the induction machine which is directly coupled with the internal combustion engine as an induction motor at the starting of the internal combustion engine and operating it as the induction generator after the starting. CONSTITUTION:At the starting of the internal combustion engine 1, a power source side switch 5 is closed, and the induction machine 2 which is directly coupled with the internal combustion engine 1 is connected to a commercial power source 4 through a reactor 3. Then the induction machine operates as the induction motor. After the internal combustion engine 1 has started and the rotational speed has reached the synchronous speed, a short circuit switch 6 is closed and the reactor 3 is shorted. Then the induction machine 2 operates as the induction generator. In this constitution, the starting device for starting the internal combustion engine can be omitted. |
