PURPOSE:To mechanically perform curl-removing work and fold-applying work of a sheet of paper, by protrusively placing a folded part of the sheet of paper from conveyers, providing curl-removing members at a face-to-face position and holdably pressing said folded part between said curl-removing members. CONSTITUTION:A gripper bitten side 2, one side, of a sheet of paper 1 is protrusively placed on a conveyer 4, and a conveyer belt 4 is driven to inversely transfer the sheet of paper 1 downward while curving the sheet to a U-shape with the periphery of a roller 8 by cooperative action of a conveyer belt 5. Here the conveyer belts 4, 5 are intermittently driven, when the conveyer belts 4, 5 are stopped, curl-removing members 6, 6 are interlocked to the above operation of the belts to hold to press a part, protrusively placed from the conveyer belts 4, 5 and folded to a U-shape, by air cylinders 16, and folds 3 are produced only in the bitten side 2 of the sheet of paper 1 to remove a curl from the sheet of paper 1. |
