PURPOSE:To contrive to reduce a height, by a method wherein a detachable implanting lid is provided to an uppermost part of a water tank of a radiator, an overflow pipe equipped with a pressure control valve is inserted into a proper position in a tank. CONSTITUTION:An implanting lid 18 which can be brought to an enclosure state, is mounted to a top part 2' of an upper tank 2 of a radiator 1, an overflow pipe 19 is inserted into and secured to a side surface 2'' of a rear part, and the pipe 19 is connected to a surge tank 23 with rubber hoses 21 and 22 through the medium of a pressure control valve 20 to form a cooling device. When an appropriate amount of water is implanted into a radiator 1 and a surge tank 23, if cooling water is heated to high temperature and expanded, the cooling water opens a positive pressure valve 33 of the pressure control valve 20 against a spring 32 through the overflow pipe 19 and the rubber hose 21, and flows into the tank 23 through the hose 22. Meanwhile, if cooling water in the radiator 1 is reduced to low temperature, a negative pressure valve 36 opens against a spring 35, and cooling water in the tank 23 returns back to the water tank 2 through the hose 21 and pipe 19. |
