PURPOSE:To facilitate the manufacture of screw rotors by joining of various tooth profile plates by laminating many tooth profile plates provided with holes by deviating their phases, casting a brazing filler metal in the holes of the tooth profile plates and allowing the filler metal to solidify. CONSTITUTION:A tooth profile plate 1A having the same shape as the section of a screw rotor at a right angle to its axis and plural holes 3 of the plate 1A are blanked simultaneously. The screw rotor formed of the plates 1A produced by laminating many sheets of said plates by deviating phases is tightened up from both sides by restraining jigs consisting of press plates 5, 6, through bolts 7, and nuts 8. A molten brazing filler metal 4 is charged into the holes 3 and the metal 4 is cooled to solidify, thereby joining the plates 1A to each other. As a result, the screw rotor is manufactured inexpensively with general purpose installations without using any special installations for casting, forging, machining or monolithic plastic working. |
