PURPOSE:To obtain a magneto-resistance effect type magnetic head, by a very simple manufacturing process, by accumulating a magneto-resistance effect element (MR element) on the surface of a thin wire rod, and fixing this wire rod to the base of the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:A wire rod 11 is made to run at a prescribed speed, also a substance for forming an MR element of ''Permalloy '' a cobalt alloy, etc. is evaporated by an electronic beam vapor-depositing machine 12, is oriented to the wire rod as an electronic beam, and a thin film of the MR element is accumulated on the surface of the wire rod 11. Subsequently, the wire rod 11 on which the MR element has been accumulated is automatically fixed to a base body 20 of a magnetic head by sticking or other means, its both end parts 11a are connected to a connecting terminal 22 by conductive resin 21, and is connected to a lead wire 23, by which an MR head is obtained. In this way, the MR head can be obtained by a very simple manufacturing process. |
