摘要

PURPOSE:To reduce the weight by using a metallic endless belt having 0.01- 2mm. thickness and 0.1-6S surface roughness manufactured by electroforming method as a drum-shaped substrate and by directly forming an image retaining body on the substrate. CONSTITUTION:A drum-shaped substrate 1 is formed with an endless belt of Al or the like manufactured by an electroforming method. The substrate 1 has 0.01-2mm. thickness and 0.1-6S surface roughness. It is light-weight and requires no surface finish, and an Se-Te layer is directly formed as an image retaining layer 2.
