As a rule, old or unusable coatings are removed by chemical means, by burning off using fire, or mechanically. Coatings of any type can be removed according to the invention without effort by heated profiled metal sheets. The device consists of a retaining frame which can be heated by means of an electrical coil and in which the end metal sheets, of various profiles, are interchangeable. The interchangeable profiled metal sheets have a metal brush which can be heated allowing coatings to be removed from objects of different shapes.
