PURPOSE:To improve the electric characteristics, discharge capacity, storage performance, and liquid leakproof property by using a silver oxide (II) containing a limited amount of Ag2CO3 as a main component of positive electrode black mix. CONSTITUTION:Silver oxide (II) which contains stabilizers such as Cd and Te etc. and contains Ag2CO3 by 1% or less is used as the positive electrode black mix for a silver peroxide cell. Silver oxide (II) powder and fluoropresin powder etc. are mixed and molded under pressure to form positive electrode black mix, which is stored in a positive electrode can. By use of said positive electrode black mix, the low temperature characteristic, storage performance, liquid-leakproof property of a storage battery can be improved. This silver peroxide cell is suitably used for pace makers, electronic wrist watches, cameras, desk-type electronic calculators, hearing-aids etc. |
