PURPOSE:To obtain an adequate cooking by a grill oven range adapted to be automatically controlled according to the kind of food to be cooked by a construction wherein the heater is lowered in stages and the contact of the heater with the food is judged by the change in the output of a gas sensor before and after the heater is lowered. CONSTITUTION:Upon completion of high freqency heating, an electric current is sent to a heater 4, a damper is closed, the output power ratio of a gas sensor 11 is discriminated again, and an output signal level VZ of the gas sensor 11 is stored in RAM of microcomputor 18. Subsequently, a relay contact R3a is turned ON to rotate a motor 12 forwardly so as to lower the heater 4 by a predetermined distance. The output VY of the gas sensor 14 when the heater 14 is lowered is stored in the RAM, and when the ratio VY/VZ reaches a value less than 0.02, it is judged that the heater 4 is brought in contact with the food being cooked and the relay contact R3a is turned OFF, while relay contact R4a is turned ON to rotate the motor 12 reversely so as to move the heater 4 upwards by a predetermined distance. By this arrangement, intrusion of the heater into the food can be prevented and an adequate grill heating can be performed. |
