PURPOSE:To miniaturize the quipment by starting a printing when the phase number searched at the preceding searching time coincides with the phase number searched at each start of the carriage by allowing a margin for the comparison of the phases. CONSTITUTION:When a carriage stops at the start of printing, the phase thereof is searched and memorized in a B register of a microcomputer. Then, the carriage starts operation under the control of a pulse motor and when it reaches the printing position, the phase number is searched and compared with the contents of the B register. If the phase number searched at the printing position is within a range of the contents thereof, a printing starts with a judgement that the coincidence takes place. If it is not within the range, the carriage is returned ahead of the start point and the printing is on standby until it stops completely. Subsequently, the phase searching is conducted to start the carriage again for printing. |
