PURPOSE:To contrive to realize the simple insertion of thin cylindrical material onto a shaft with no failure and to improve the working efficiency and quality by a method wherein the thin cylindrical material is heated while being fixed to a holder with large heat capacity and, after that, placed on a bed plate and then a chilled shaft or the like is inserted thereinto so that the cylindrical material is kept in the state difficult to cool down. CONSTITUTION:When the holder 1 equipped with a spacer 2, within which the thin material 6 is inserted, is placed in an oil pan to be heated, the holder 1 and the spacer 2 together with the thin material 6 expand all themselves. The amount of change of the clearance between the holder 1 and the thin material 6 generated by the difference between their expansion coefficients is absorbed be the slotted parts of the spacer 2. After being heated enough, the thin material 6 is pulled up together with the holder 1 out of the oil pan, placed on the bed plate 10 and then inserted with the shaft 7 by lightly tapping the shaft into the thin material 6. Because the thin material 6 is supplied with heat successively from the holder 1, the heat in the thin material 6 is not changed sharply, resulting in realizing the smoothly driving of the shaft 7 into the thin material 6. |
