PURPOSE:To obtain a cooler which is cheap and which has a high cooling effect by a method wherein an ice sealed ventilating element is formed by causing a curved vent pipe having an air receiving opening to pass through an ice sealed vessel and a plurality of such ventilating elements are arranged parallel to one another within a heat insulated container. CONSTITUTION:The ice sealed ventilating element 1 is formed of the vessel 2 having ice sealed therein and the vent pipe 3 having at its one end the air receiving opening 4 having a gradually increasing dimater and passed through the vessel 2 in a zigzag fashion. Next, a plurality of the vessels 2 are arranged parallel to one another within the heat insulated container 5 in such a manner that the vent pipes 3 are made to project from both sides of the vessels 2, respectively, and arranged within the heat insulating vessel 5 from the front and the rear end of the latter with the air receiving openings 4 of the pipes 3 being in line with one another. In this case, water is sealed in advance into the vessel 2 of each of the ventilating elements 1, the elements 1 are put into a refrigerating chamber to freeze the water and the elements 1 are housed within the heat insulated container 5. With the above structure, when air is supplied into the pipes 3 through the air receiving openings 4 thereof, the temperature of the air is lowered to a considerable degree when the air is blown off from the other ends of the pipes 3. |
