PURPOSE:To attain a high density magnetic recording, by taking a titanium or titanium alloy as a base and forming a cobalt chromium alloy thin film on the surface. CONSTITUTION:A titanium or titanium alloy is used for the base and a cobalt chromium alloy thin film is formed on it for completion. The linear expansion coefficient of the titanium single substance is 9X10<-6>, which is close to that of the cobalt chromium alloy and smaller than it, then the track shift due to thermal expansion is very small. The titanium alloy is obtained by adding one or a plurality of Al, Fe, Cr, W and Si. |
