PURPOSE:To achieve effective capacity control characteristic, by working a suction groove to be formed in the inner face of a cylinder into multi-stage and after the suction process reducing the variation of the effective suction area in the later half section. CONSTITUTION:A suction groove 18 is worked in two steps while empolying two cutters having center of rotation O1, and radius R2 and center of rotation O2 and radius R2, to approach the depth of the suction groove to constant level. The variation of the effective area of the suction groove section is slight during the suction process, thereby the effective suction area varying angle prior to the completion of suction is small. Consequently the pressure drop rate during low speed rotation is low to cause slight drop of refrigerating capacity, while under high speed rotation the pressure drop rate will increase to improve the capacity control characteristic. |
