SYSTEM FOR LOCALLY VARYING DISTRIBUTION OF THE SIGNAL BY MEANS OF A POWERFUL LOUD-SPEAKER DEVICE

A switching matrix allows an audio signal to be distributed with controlled time delays to a number of loudspeakers around an auditorium. The system allows improved signal reproduction generally throughout the auditorium. Loudspeakers (1-8) are arranged in groups around the room (I) and receive signals from a source (I) that are processed over a number of time delay stages (11). The delayed signals are fed to the rows of a switching matrix that has the columns connected to the loudspeakers. Switching points within the matrix are made to provide the optimum reproduction. The matrix setting may be made flexible by coupling with a keyboard facility.
