A digital audio system for the hi-fi reproduction of broadband audio material is proposed. The system has a very fast, low-noise digital-analog converter which is fitted with means for reducing corrupting switching currents in the reconstructed audio signal. A converter of this type is used in both the coding and decoding parts of the system.
