The selective herbicidal preparation contains 30 to 50% by weight of a chloroacetanilide derivative of the formula I, 18 to 33% by weight of an N-halophenyl-N'-alkoxy-N'-alkylurea derivative of the formula II, 20 to 30% by weight of 2-methylthio-4-ethylamino-6-tert.-butylamino-1,3,5-triazine and 7 to 13% by weight of 2-methylthio-4,6-bisisopropylamino-1,3,5-triazine. The symbols in formulae I and II have the meanings given in Patent Claim 1. The herbicidal preparation is particularly suitable for controlling weeds on arable land. <IMAGE>
