PURPOSE:To improve the reliability, by binarizing picture information from a pickup section and adjusting the focus of the pickup section with the result of count of binary signals. CONSTITUTION:A video signal from a camera 3 is converted into binary information at a binary circuit 4 and stored in a picture memory 5. The picture memory 5 sets a focus discriminating area 6 and the degree of conversion of picture information at the area 6 is counted at a counter 7. The result of count of the converted degree is given to a controller 10, which controls a camera 3 or a stand 2 at a pickup section 1 so as to maximize the degree of conversion. |
