PURPOSE:To improve the workability in manufacture and to reduce the number of parts by constituting a titled connector of a male housing and a female housing to be inserted respectively with a male plug and a female plug. CONSTITUTION:A male plug 8 and a female plug 10 which are respectively formed by continuous press terminating are provided. An optical fiber core 2 inserted into the fine hole in the projecting part 9 of the plug 8 and an optical fiber core 2 inserted into the constricted part 11 of the plug 10 are connected so as to face each other on the same axial line. A male housing 16 contains the plug 8 and the plug 10 is contained in a female housing 17. The preceding end part of the housing 17 is constricted in order to be fitted tightly to the coupling part 12 of the plug 10, and forms a fitting part 18 to be fitted to the fitting part at the preceding end of the housing 16. The connector is thus formed at one time by continuous press terminating, whereby the workability in manufacture is improved and the number of parts is reduced. |
