PURPOSE:To raise a tracking error signal level, by sample-holding a tracking error signal being in a peak state, with a signal obtained in accordance with a pit signal and a focus error signal. CONSTITUTION:An output which compares a pit signal RF and an output which compares a focus error signal Fe are provided to an exclusive OR gate 30, and from these outputs, a rise pulse and a fall pulse are generated. From the output which compares the focus error signal, the rise pulse and the fall pulse are generated, they are made to pass through an AND gate, an OR gate, etc., and a tracking servo-signal is detected. In this way, when a waveform of a tracking error signal Te is converted, and its level is raised and provided to an LPF, unstable servo by a DC component can be eliminated. |
