An under-carpet telephone connecting system, which is intended for multi-conductor flat cable, contains connecting devices in order to produce a grid or spacing change and for the earth connection of the cable, and to allow connection of the cable conductors to a modular telephone coupling, the system being compatible with the allocation of the coupling connection pairs and the allocation of the cable conductor pairs. A common substrate carries the modular coupling, a connecting matrix for the coupling connection and a cable-pair connection, and a connector for an insulation-piercing connection to the cable. |
