PURPOSE:To prevent the circulation of an abnormal frame, by erasing the abnormal frame received by a frame aligner in a loop network and transmitting again a normal frame immediately preceding the abnormal frame. CONSTITUTION:The reading side of an elastic memory 3 is always working, and therefore a normal frame which is written immediately before the reception of an abnormal frame is read out of the memory 3 when the writing is inhibited for the memory 3 by the detection of the abnormal frame. The normal frame is then transmitted through a frame pattern inserting part 5 in the form of a transmission frame. In such a way, it is possible to transmit again a normal frame immediately preceding an abnormal frame when the abnormal frame is received. Thus the abnormal frame can be erased without interrupting the procedure of communication. It is enough to set the capacity of a buffer memory at an amount larger than the time required for detecting the abnormal frame. |
