In a secured data transmission device for non-equivalent information pairs in railway security installations, a multiplicity of information pairs delivered by different data sources form a data block. This block is transmitted to a data sink, along with addresses and a predefined number of check information elements which form a security block, with the aid of a converter device and further transmission devices. The special feature of the secured data transmission device is a converter device comprising two parts (U1, U2), where the first part (U1) is preferably connected to all non-inverted outputs (A, B, C to X) and the second part (U2) to all inverted outputs (A, B, C to X) of the data sources (DQ). For each part of the converter device, at least one area is provided for a separate security block. The same applies to the addresses allocated to the information elements. The measures serve in advantageous fashion to increase transmission security with no specific additional hardware requirement. <IMAGE>
