Water intake for intake of water from a lake for heating an evaporator in a heating pump installation 5 or for cooling a condenser. The intake comprises a pump caisson 2 placed at a considerable depth on the bed 4 of a lake 1, a conduit 6 between the pump caisson 2 and an evaporator or a pump station on the lake shore, and a relief device in the pump caisson 2 for limiting the pressure in the pump caisson 2 and the conduit 6 to a value adapted to the strength of the conduit 6. A pump unit 12 can be arranged in the caisson 2 in such a way that a bearing surface 13 in a pump space 11 forms a valve seat, and the pump unit 12 forms a valve member which can cooperate with this valve seat and which is lifted when there is a certain pressure in the caisson downstream of the pump unit 12. <IMAGE> |
