<p>PURPOSE:To read the storage contents of an information card formed by incorporating an IC with a microprocessor and a memory function in a plastic card at any time and any place, by embedding a solar battery as a driving source in the card. CONSTITUTION:The IC circuit element 23 such as a memory including a PROM and a microprocessor, and the solar battery 4 are packaged in a film substrate 22 to form a circuit block 21, which is molded with a plastic molding material 1 to obtain the card. A card reader is provided with a light emission part or external light introduction part, and this information card when inserted into the card reader irradiated with light at the solar battery 4 to apply driving power to the information card, so a signal is inputted and outputted through an electrode terminal 31 without contact defection of a power supply terminal, eliminating the influence of noise. Further, a display panel 10 of liquid crystal, etc., is incorporated, so electricity is supplied by the battery 4 where light is incident; and a read button 11 is pressed to read the storage contents of the information card on the display panel 10.</p> |
