PURPOSE:To ensure the detection of minute leak with excellent accuracy, by attaching an electric leak detecting means to a receiving pan, which is provided between the bottom part of a barrel of a pit barrel type pump and the bottom of a pit. CONSTITUTION:In a pit barrel type pump (not shown in the Figure), a barrel 1 is enclosed in a pit 3 and fixed to a pump base 2 on the pit 3. A receiving pan 5 is attached to a frame 11. Electrodes 6 are attached to the bottom of the receiving pan 5 through an insulator 7. Both electrodes 6 are connected to an alarm device 10 through lead wires 8. When leaked fluid flows to the bottom of the barrel 1 and is collected in the bottom part 5a of the receiving pan 5, the electrodes 6 are conducted even by minute leak, the alarm device 10 is operated, and the leaking alarm is issued. |
