PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a multi-processor system, by making individual memories of single structure and a common memory of double structure of the multi-processor system and therefore deleting a memory of the auxiliary system from each multi-unit system. CONSTITUTION:Individual memories MMi and MMj and central control units CCi and CCj are provided to multi-unit systems MUSi and MUSj. Then a common memory CM0 and its spare memory CM1' are connected the units CCi and CCj respectively, and an individual memory fault control (program) TCP is provided to each of memories CM0 and CM1'. Thus the deterioration of reliability is prevented for a system as a whole in case a fault arises to the memories MMi and MMj with use of the memory CM1' and without adding spare memories to the systems MUSi and MUSj respectively. This simplify the system constitution. |
