PURPOSE:To increase the thermal efficiency of a radiant tube by increasing the heat-radiating rate of the tube to an object to be heated, by connecting to open the ends of projected branch tubes, being branched off from a fluid feed header, to the outer side wall of a radiant tube. CONSTITUTION:An arbitrary number of branch tubes 26 are projected from the side wall of an air feed header 14 in the radial direction, and the ends of the branch tubes 26 are opened, piercing through the outer side wall of a radiant tube 12. On the other hand, arbitrary numbers of branch tubes 28 are projected from the side wall of a fuel feed header 16 in the radial direction, and they are coaxially inserted into the branch tubes 26. With such an arrangement, combustion gas can be fed to the periphery of a radiant tube 12 and be uniformly dispersed over it. As a result, the thermal efficiency of a radiant tube can be increased. |
