PURPOSE:To make a burner compact by a method wherein a flame and diffusing air supplied from a central air passage are diffused forcibly so that the length of the flame is shortened and the capacity thereof is made small. CONSTITUTION:The diffusing air supplied to the central part of a burner 11 is diffused by a swirling vane 26 in a direction normal to the flow direction of air in a central air passage 13 so that a swirling flow of air generates. At the same time, the flame 25 on the burner is inclined inwardly by the dffusing air supplied to the outer periphery of the burner 11 from a throttle section 22. Accordingly, the diffusing air as the swirling flow of air supplied to the central part of the burner 11 is forced to come into contact with the flame 25 so that the flame 25 and the diffusing air are diffused forcibly. That is, by the provision of the swirling vane 26, the effect of the central air passage 13 is further promoted and the length of the flame 25 is shortened. As a result, it is possible to make the burner compact. |
