A self-closing valve unit contains a tubular nozzle 11 and a valve body 12 made of flexibly resilient material, with separate, connected hollow tubular inside and outside walls, 25 and 24 respectively, which form a bushing, which can accommodate the free end of the nozzle 11. The passage through the nozzle is closed off by a transverse wall 36 over the end surface of the inside wall 25, the said transverse wall 36 carrying an arm 35, which can be moved in such a way that the transverse wall 36 and the inside wall 25 are turned, thereby opening a drain passage through the valve. In order to make the inside wall highly flexible, the seal between the inside wall 25 and the nozzle 11 comprises a bead 20, which is formed on the inside wall of the nozzle 11. In order to prevent accidental movement of the arm 35 and hence associated interruption of the tight connection between the bead 20 and the inside wall 25, the valve may contain a locking insert 41, which slides into the inside wall 25 and covers the arm 35. <IMAGE> |
