<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently utilize the heat contained in the slag discharged from a blast furnace, by generating saturated steam by mixing fused slag from the furnace with water, and by rotating turbines by the saturated steam in order to drive a power generator. CONSTITUTION:The fused slag reserved in a slag receiver 11 is fed into the steam generator chamber 2 of a steam generating equipment 1 by the difference of its head, passing through a feeder tube 12, together with condensed water which is forcibly fed into the steam generator chamber 2 by the pressure being added to it by a pump 10. The slag is scattered around in the chamber 2 while it is contacted with the condensed water and heat is exchanged between them. The slag is also heat-exchanged between the pressure-added water being reserved in the equipment 1, and produces saturated steam under the predetermined pressure. After the heat is exchanged, finely granulated slag is settled and gelled in a slurry chamber 4, while the saturated steam is once reserved in a steam reservoir 3. The saturated steam is fed into a two-phase flow turbine 6 and a steam turbine 7 in turn, and by the operation of these turbines 6 and 7, a power generator 8 is driven to generate electric power.</p> |
