<p>Properties of maintenance coatings such as solvent resistance can be improved by employing a partially hydrolyzed epoxy novolac resin. A coating composition which is curable at temperatures less than 35oC comprises (1) at least one hydrolyzed epoxy novolac resin wherein from 3 to 50 percent of the epoxy groups have been hydrolyzed, (2) a curing agent selected from polyamides, primary amine or secondary amine compounds or mixtures thereof; and (3) a suitable solvent system. </p> |
