The container wall (1) has a neck-part (2) constructed from a forged sheet metal bush (3) in which a thread is rolled (4), and has an inwards turned flange (5). The top has an outward turned beading (6) which reinforces the bush and permits fitting of a tamper proof ring . The closure may be a plug (8) of which the inside (9) grips an inwards turned flange via a seal ring (10). This flange is spot-welded (11). Hardenable sealing compound (12) is used in conjunction with the seal ring. After spot welding the flange (13) is folded inwards.
