摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a thin high-silicon steel strip having remarkably superior iron loss characteristics by annealing a thin high-silicon steel strip solidified by rapid cooling at a specified temp. in a magnetic field before carrying out finish annealing. CONSTITUTION:Molten high-silicon steel is sprayed on the surface of a moving cooling body from a nozzle and solidified by rapid cooling. The resulting thin high-silicon steel strip is annealed at 650-800 deg.C in a magnetic field of 5-40 Oe. At this time, 1.5-40kg/mm.<2> tension may be applied. The strip is then subjected to finish annealing at 1,050-1,350 deg.C. By this method the iron loss can be reduced to half of the iron loss of a strip obtd. by a conventional method.
