PURPOSE:To perform the development which does not generate fog, by charging a toner with the same polarity as an electrostatic latent image and making a development gap and a toner layer thin. CONSTITUTION:A sleeve 1 of a developing roll and a photoreceptor 4 are arranged so as to face each other so that a gap G between the drum-shaped photoreceptor 4 and the sleeve 1 is narrow (0.3mm.). A toner layer thickness B on the sleeve 1 is kept 0.3mm. by a regulating plate 6 so that B=G is true. A magnet roll 2 in the sleeve 1 is rotated at 500rpm in the direction of an arrow, and the stainless sleeve 1 is rotated at 200rpm in the direction of an arrow V. The photoreceptor 4 is constituted with an organic photoconductor, and its potential is set to -5,000V, and the photoreceptor 4 is charged with the same polarity as the electrostatic latent image by a toner 3 where a polyethylene resin contains a negative electric charge controlling agent, and a toner image is formed against the repulsive action by the electric charge of the opposite polarity due to electrostatic induction and dielectric polarization. Thus, the development which does not generate photographic fog is performed. |
