PURPOSE:To obtain an image having good fastness by forming complex salt with the transition element ion produced near a cathode and the azo group of a diazo component in a developing part wherein an anode is formed of carbon and the cathode of a transition metal, and subjecting the OH group of a coupling component to a salt exchange with a transition element ion. CONSTITUTION:An aq. soln. of alkali metal salt or alkaline earth metal salt such as potassium carbonate is used as a developing soln. 1. Carbon is used for an anode 2 and a transition metal such as Ni, Pd, Pt, Zn, Cu or the like for a cathode 3. OH<-> is formed near the cathode 3 to make the soln. alkaline. Diazophotosensitive paper 8 is developed with such soln. 1 while the paper is fed in an arrow direction between a coating roll 5 and a press roll 4. A photosensitive layer contg. 4-diazo-6-hydroxy-1-dimethylaminobenzene, etc. as a diazo component and 2,3-dihydroxynaphthalene-6-sulfonic acid, etc. as a coupler is formed on the paper 8. A image having excellent fastness and sensitivity is thus obtd. if electricity is conducted only in the stage of developing. |
