The method is for controlling a plunger pump (1) as to the amount of fluid pumped per time unit. The pump comprises a housing (2) with inlet and outlet apertures (4,5), with a piston (3) in the housing driven by a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder/piston unit (14). - In the inlet and outlet apertures are valves (6,7) working so that fluid can only flow in through the inlet and out through the outlet. Via a return motion, fluid is sucked through the pump housing inlet and forward movement presses it out through the outlet. The length of stroke (L1,L2,L3) in the forward and backward movements, and frequency, are regulated dependent upon the desired fluid quantity per time unit.(2) |
