PURPOSE:To easily perform underwater operation work for a marine structure by a method in which a water-shield tool fixable water-tightly to connecting points through a fitting tool fixed to the submerged portion of a marine structure is provided, and the upper end portion of the side plate of the water-shield tool is exposed to the surface of water. CONSTITUTION:Two fitting tools 5a are attached from left and right sides to the submerged portion of the steel tubular pile 1 of a marine structure, and bolt 25 is thrust through the screw hole 21 of a clamper 19 and clamped with a nut 54 to attach a fitting tool 5. A water-shield tool 4, consisting of paired side plates 6 with two-divided bottom plates 7, is pivotally supported by clamping a bolt 42 thrust through the screw holes of the coupler 40 of the bottom panel 7 and also of the fitting tool 5 with nuts. The side plates 6 are pulled up at the pivotal supporting point 42 as a supporting point and covered the surrounding of the pile 1. The sea water in the water shield tool 4 is discharged, and a worker enters the water shield tool 4 as a working chamber for coating the outer periphery of the pile 1. |
