PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of troubles, such as deterioration of picture quality, etc., caused by foreign matters, by installing an accumulation receiving section of scattered developing agent, etc., to the backside of an ear cutting member of a magnetic brush developing device. CONSTITUTION:Foreign matters mixed into recovered toner from a cleaning device 2 and brought into a developing device 6 or came into the developing device 6 from a developing section side, is nonmagnetic substances whose one piece volume is larger than and density is smaller than toner particles. Therefore, they are easily scattered by the bristles of a magnetic brush which tend to stand up when passing through the position of the ear cutting member 6e together with a developing agent. Therefore, by installing an accumulation receiving section A to the backside of the ear cutting member 6e and contacting the section A with the member 6e, foreign matters are effectively accumulated into and collected by the accumulation receiving section A. Since foreign matters are prevented from reaching the developing section and from accumulating and increasing in the developing device 6 in this way, occurrence of troubles, such as deterioration of picture quality, etc., caused by foreign matters can be prevented. |
