PURPOSE:To prevent the scatter in the length of a product in an equipment for manufacturing toilet paper of small diameter from a large-diameter roll of paper, by detecting the diameter of the material roll to gradually reduce the braking torque of a brake as the diameter of the material roll decreases. CONSTITUTION:A paper roll manufacturing equipment comprises a material paper deliver-out unit 2 for delivering material paper P from a material roll 1 of paper, a winder 3 for winding the material paper P around a winding core 8 to make a paper winding 9, a brake 13 for quickly stopping the material paper deliver-out unit 2 and the winder 3 simultaneously, a cutter 4 for cutting the paper winding 9 off the material paper P, and a unit 5 for pasting the cut-off end of the winding 9. A material paper roll diameter detector 16 is provided. A braking torque controller 17 is also provided to receive a signal from the detector 16 to gradually reduce the torque of the brake 13 as the diameter of the material paper roll 1 decreases. |
