PURPOSE:To initialize easily a stripe domain to a normal position by providing an area in which the static magnetic energy of the domain is larger than the existence area of the stripe domain at the outside of existence area of each stripe domain in a ferromagnetic film. CONSTITUTION:In a magnetic storage element that uses paired vertical Bloch lines consisting of two adjoining vertical Bloch lines made in a Bloch magnetic wall at the boundary of a stripe domain existing in a ferromagnetic film that makes the direction perpendicular to the film face easily magnetizable direction as a storage unit, and provided with a transferring device in the magnetic wall, an area in which the static magnetic energy of the domain is larger than the existing area of the stripe domain is provided at the outside of the existing area of each stripe domain in the ferromagnetic film or at the outside of the existing area of plural stripe domains along the stripe domain. By making the static magnetic energy (potential) of the domain of the area shown by slanting lines higher than the area in which the stripe domain exists, the stripe domain becomes difficult to extend to abovementioned area. |
