PURPOSE:To divide a track into sectors and to read/write data from/to the track by using an FD controller for the control of recording/reproducing of a flopy disc (FD) adopting a recording/reproducing method by a concentrical track and by controlling a spiral tracking method having a different recording and reproducing method. CONSTITUTION:Receiving an INDEX signal from the micro FD drive muFDD side, an FD controller FDC outputs a W.GATE signal and a W.DATA signal necessary for sector division to the muFDD, and the muFDD side supplies electric power to a coil 4w of a head 4 through an AND circuit 18 and a WRITE DATA driver 19 to divide the track into sectors. The FDC ends sector division by the succeeding INDEX signal. Reading a sector specified by a host CPU from the sectors written at the sector division, the FDC reads or writes the data of the read- out sector. Data are read out by a read coil 4R of the head 4 and outputted as a READ DATA signal through a READ DATA amplifier 20. |
