<p>PURPOSE:To simplify an installation and to improve the recovery rate of sulfur by utilizing the gas emitted from a reduction vessel as inert gas for a regeneration column as well as diffusion and activation vessel and adsorbing the reduced sulfur on the reducing agent then diffusing the same. CONSTITUTION:Waste gas from a boiler is conducted through a line 1 into an adsorption column (a) to adsorb the sulfur dioxide in the gas on an adsorbent and the cleaned gas is released through a chimney (e) into the atmosphere in a dry type stack gas desulfurizer consisting of the adsorption column (a), a regeneration column (b), a reduction vessel (c) and a diffusion and activation vessel (d) and using activated carbon. The adsorbent is diffusion by the gas from the vessel (c) through a line 2, in the column (b). The greater part of the gas generated in said vessel flows through a line 3 into the vessel (c), where the gas is reduced by the reducing agent supplied 11 therein. The formed sulfur is adsorbed on the reducing agent and is diffused in the vessel (d) and at the same time the reducing agent is activated. The gas in the vessel (c) is utilized for regeneration as well as diffusion and activation and there is no need for separately providing an inert gas generator for said gas.</p> |
